Springfield Marine traces back to 1952, when Springfield Aluminum Company was established as an aluminum foundry by Garnett Carnahan. It soon entered a newly-emerging marine products market that was developing across the U.S., and by the end of the 1970s, Springfield Marine became known as a brand of marine seating hardware. The company was a pioneer in the marine seating industry with different innovative designs, which received many patents and awards that hold true until present.
