Based at Auckland, New Zealand, Tenob Wholesale Marine Ltd was founded in 1973 by Ted Nobbs, hence the company name. In 1990 current managing director Stewart Mathiesen, who has a background in manufacturing and engineering, took over the company.  Stewart has been a boat owner since 1979. The company has grown substantially over the years with an ever increasing range of products best suited to the trailer power boat market.
