An environmentally friendly way to protect your vessel
The Maddox Sacrificial Marine Anode protects your boat's bronze and stainless steel components through a highly efficient pathway for cathodic protection. Maddox is also an internationally accredited sacrificial anode for timber and fibreglass vessels. The patented composite alloy is closer than zinc in mV potential to the submerged metals found on most boats making it less aggressive on coatings and parts than the zinc equivalent.
Often, boaters are unaware of the problems associated through overprotection caused by excessive use of zinc anodes. With a specially designed aluminium alloy and shape, the Maddox anode effectively reduces galvanic corrosion without overprotecting. For better fuel economy, the Maddox reduces the amount of contaminates growing on propellers. It also decreases the build-up of chloride in heat exchangers and intercoolers for better engine performance.
