The ACR OLAS Float-On GPS Wearable Crew Tracker is a compact and smart crew overboard tracking device that combines OLAS (Overboard Location Alert System) technology with a bright LED flashlight and water-activated strobe. Lightweight and portable, it easily attaches to adults, kids, pets, or gear like flotation devices, and can be moved from boat to boat for reliable protection wherever you go.
Its durable yet compact design includes a feature button that’s easy to find in the dark. The LED light works as a flashlight for seeing at a distance and also emits side light for 360-degree visibility when used as a strobe or position-indicating light. It fits easily in a lifejacket pocket or clips to existing safety gear.
When a person or object with the Float-On goes overboard, the ACR OLAS mobile app detects the break in connection within 8 seconds. An alarm sounds on the phone, and GPS coordinates are recorded. The app then guides the crew to the exact location of the incident using visual cues and bearing data. All time and location data are stored for use by rescue services.
As an added layer of safety, the strobe light activates automatically when the device is submerged in water for six seconds. It flashes every second for up to 20 hours, is visible up to 3 nautical miles, and is a vital aid for low-light rescue situations.
