The Cuda Professional Butcher / Fish Splitter Knife is built for the serious fisherman. With titanium-bonded, non-stick USA 40A carpenter steel, this wide butcher/fish splitter knife provides the ultimate level of edge retention and corrosion resistance. It also features the durable Micarta handle plus it comes complete with a hard moulded sheath.
Oversized Backbone
Backbone refers to the thickness of the blade. The Cuda backbone is the strength behind the cut. A thick backbone provides unparalleled rigidity so the cut is as straight and true as intended.
Full Tang Construction
A full-tang is where the blade is extended throughout the handle portion of the cutting implement. Full-tang is incredibly important due to the fact that it provides strength to the cutting blade and also supports a stronger and more rigid handle.
Titanium non-stick
Cuda's proprietary new coating bonds titanium with a non-stick formula. Highly resistant to adhesives including tape, glue, hook and loop fasteners and natural adhesive substances such as sap. This is a durable micro ceramic coating that will not wear off - up to 100,000 cuts. It's 5x harder than stainless steel alone and will stay sharper longer.
Micarta handle
A synthetic material made from paper, linen or thick canvass impregnated with resin under pressure. Micarta is extremely resistant to water, cold, heat, rot and corrosion therefore it's a perfect material for knife handle.
