Big, bold, and a sight to behold, the heavy-duty of Lexa is the biggest, baddest and toughest low-profile offshore reel that Daiwa has to offer, with its new aluminium open access frame and invincible internals built to take down any fish.
Don't let its impressive size and build fool you, though, because it fits ergonomically and comfortably in the hand with the ease befitting a baitcaster. The rock-solid aluminium frame and side plates are highly corrosion-resistant and provide an impenetrable housing for Lexa HD's bulletproof gearing system. The all-metal frame supports Daiwa's biggest and toughest gears ever.
The Lexa's large single EVA knob, counterbalanced, power handle allows you to take full control, with cranking balance and power completely in your hands. The impressive cranking power is matched by Daiwa's legendary UTD- Ultimate Tournament Drag that dishes out up to a whopping 12kg of drag. Featuring a multi washer carbon drag stack the Lexa HD's UTD will put the power in your hands to stop just about anything that swims.

The Braid
The Daiwa UVF Saltiga Durasensor X8 +Si2 Braid is masterfully crafted in Japan using the latest Daiwa technology to produce a silky smooth, super thin line that’s perfect for a host of fishing scenarios. This 8-weave braided line features Daiwa’s muscle PE fibres for higher abrasion resistance and enhanced durability. Despite its extremely thin diameter, the Saltiga Durasensor X8 is super tough with fibres 4x more abrasion resistant than normal braided lines.
Not all braid coatings are created equal. The latest Daiwa Si2+ silicon coating impregnates the individual fibres rather than coating them for a longer-lasting finish which aids in hydrophobicity and line management. The Daiwa UVF Saltiga Durasensor X8 +Si2 Braid is available in larger sizes with traditional multicolour marker in large 300m spools. Perfect for chasing hard-fighting fish!
