The Reel
Designed for straylining and even surfcasting, the Kilwell RXB 85 Baitfeeder Reel is a powerful and versatile choice for targeting big fish. This large-capacity reel features 5 ball bearings plus one roller bearing, a stainless steel main shaft, instant anti-reverse, and a twin drag baitfeeder system with micro click adjustment. The forged aluminium spool and anti-twist line roller make it ideal for both mono and braided lines. The baitfeeder function allows fish to mouth the bait and swim off naturally before you strike—perfect for presenting large baits to trophy Snapper and other prized species.
The Rod
An evening of surfcasting off a beach can be one of the most productive methods of land-based fishing, as fish that wouldn't normally venture close to shore lose their wariness and come in closer to feed, totally unaware of your presence. To help you do this, the Kilwell LED Surf Rod has a LED light inside the tip section so you can easily see when the bite is on. It has a replaceable battery that fits into the base of the tip section so that it is also protected from the elements. The butt section of the rod features reflective paint that glows in the path of incoming headlights or a torch, lessening the chances of it getting snagged by passing vehicles.
