Sikasil RTV is an acetic cure silicone sealant which provides a permanent watertight seal to various substrates including glass and ceramics.
Applications
Sikasil RTV has been formulated for use as a joint sealant in glazing applications, showers, baths, basins, refrigeration seals, outer flues and gaskets and aquariums.

Sikasil RTV Acetic Cure Silicone Sealant Specifications:

- Shelf Life: 18 months from date of production if stored
according to conditions below.
- Storage Conditions: Store in original unopened, sealed and
undamaged packaging in dry conditions.
- Density: Clear: 0.98 - 1.05 g/cm3
White & Black: ~1.02 g/cm3 (ISO 1183-1 A) - Shore A Hardness: 20 (ISO 868)
- Tensile Strength: 0.6 N/mm2 (ISO 8339)
- Modulus of Elasticity in Tension: 0.35 N/mm2 (ISO
8339)
- Elongation at Break: 250% (ISO 8339)
- Tear Strength: 4.2 N/mm2 (ISO 34 Method C)
- Movement Capability: 25% (ISO 11600)
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to weak acids and alkalis, soaps
and detergent. Not resistant to petrol and aggressive
solvents.
- Joint Design: Sikasil RTV may be applied in joints with a
minimum joint size of 5mm wide x 5mm deep and a maximum joint size
of 25mm wide x 10mm deep.
- Ambient Air Temperature: Application temperature: +5°C to
+40°C
- Skin Time: 20 mintues @ 23°C / 50% r.h.
