The Reel
Built for those who expect a reel that can handle the stress of hard-pulling fish, the new PENN Slammer IV 6500 HS Spinning Reel is packed with more features than ever before. Building off PENN's proven IPX6 sealed body and spool, the drag system is redesigned to not only be better sealed, but also offer a wider range of usable drag, all whilst being bearing supported for extra smoothness. Adding PENN's all brass CNC gear technology, 8+1 stainless steel bearing system and Hydrophobic Line Roller Bearing has made the Slammer IV the ultimate workhorse reel.
The Rod
Representing the next generation of high performance sportfishing rods, the PENN Slammer 792H Spinning Rod is powerful, lightweight, and durable. It's also equipped with tangle-free Fuji K frame guides containing SiC inserts, Fuji reel seat, and contoured high density EVA grips for a technical, sensitive, and premium finish.
The Slammer Rod features PENN's RCB2 blank, consisting of a rolled composite core and outer layers of longitudinal glass to provide a lightweight, thin, and parabolic blank that flexes from grip to tip, distributing weight for extra durability. This parabolic blank offers sought after durability, balance, and recoil you need to work lures in areas ranging from reef structures to suspended schools of fish in both shallow and deep-water environments.
