Monocoque
The reel's one-piece frame eliminates the use of traditional two-piece body and sideplate construction. The single piece body utilises a screw-in engine plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate also has allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes the BG MQ 5000D-H stronger and better sealed, but also more compact.
The Rod
The heavy-tackle Daiwa 20 TD Saltwater S80-3 Spinning Stickbait Rod is developed to meet the demand for high-quality saltwater rods. The heart of the TD Saltwater begins with Daiwa's BRAIDING-X graphite technology: a graphite tape which is applied to the butt section of the blank. Wrapping in this style adds a level of stiffness and rigidity to the overall blank construction without the added weight and diameter of a whole extra layer of the HSD graphite cloth.
Outfitting TD Saltwater is Fuji's Corrosion Control (BC) 'O' ring guides. When it comes to durable guide solutions, Fuji's O ring leaves all others behind. Slimline EVA two-tone grips make TD Saltwater stand out from the crowd, and are a class act paired with almost any large size spinning reel.
